What we install in a new home
Most of a new home’s insulation goes in four places. We do all four with our own crew.
Walls: fiberglass batts
The standard for new builds. We cut every batt around wiring and boxes, with no gaps and no compressed corners.
Walls: Fiberglass BIBS, 2×6 wall
BIBS means Blow-In-Blanket System. We put netting across the studs and blow fiberglass in behind it, before the drywall goes up. It is denser than batts and fills around wiring, pipes and blocking, so it does not settle into a cold band at the top of the wall.
Attic: blown fiberglass
We set baffles at the eaves so the roof keeps breathing, seal gaps and penetrations, and leave depth markers so you can check the depth.
Floors over a crawl space
Batts fitted under the floor, so the floors above are not cold.
These are houses. We do not do commercial buildings, pole barns or metal buildings.
How we fit into your build
Send us your plans, or call.
We come out for a free look, usually in a day or two, and tell you what we would install.
We insulate while the studs are open.
Batts and Fiberglass BIBS both go in before the drywall goes up.
We seal gaps and penetrations before anything goes in,
then install to depth.
We clean up and take everything with us.
Give us a ring before the drywall goes up. Good insulation installation in Spokane is done while the framing is open.
Why builders keep us
The same people, start to finish.
You talk to the crew that does the work.
We answer our own phone.
Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. If we are up in an attic and it goes to voicemail, you will hear back within the hour.
No subs.
A crew of two or three, ours, on every job.
If it is not right, we come back.
Give us a ring and we will do our best to put it right.
Builders we work with
We started in 2017 by doing the insulation on new builds for local builders, and we still do. A builder will have you back to fix anything that is not right, so we learned to do it right the first time. We work on custom homes in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Cheney, Deer Park, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Hayden.

New construction insulation, answered
When do you insulate a new home?
While the studs are open, before the drywall goes up. Call us before the drywall is hung.
Batts or Fiberglass BIBS in the walls?
Both go in with the studs open. We install R-21 fiberglass batts, or Fiberglass BIBS at R-23 in a 2×6 wall. BIBS is the step up: it is blown in behind netting, it is denser than batts and it fills around wiring, pipes and blocking.
What R-values do you install?
Attic R-60. Walls R-21 with batts, or R-23 with Fiberglass BIBS in a 2×6 wall. Floors over a crawl space R-38. If your plans call for something different, send them and we will tell you straight what we can do.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. It is our own crew of two or three on every job.
What if I call and nobody picks up?
We answer our own phone, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. If we are up a ladder and it goes to voicemail, you will hear back within the hour.
Not building? See our attic insulation removal and replacement.
